Morrison Supermarkets have Stewing Steak on Offer this week at £6.50 per kilo and Ox Kidney at £3.49 per kilo. Then they have a mixed pack of steak and kidney at £7.50 per kilo . Very odd pricing.

There's probably a lot more kidney in it than steak.
Like most things, you pay extra for the convenience (of having them both supplied and- presumably- prepared, ready to use).
Not really, there is an added step in mixing the steak and kidney and ensuring the mix is even or if it comes in a divided tray, the weighing is more complicated so you are paying for added prep.
You're paying more for a mixed assortment, somebody's had to mix them.
On a similar subject, pricing, have you ever noticed how the price of the same product can change depending on the packaging.

For example, Stella Artois can vary by as much as £1.80 a litre, just look at the small print underneath the price ticket.
ps ... That's not just in Morrisons, but all supermarkets!
If could be just an oversight, or maybe deliberate (supermarkets have weird pricing where the right hand seems not to know what the left is up to). You did say the stewing steak on its own was on offer. Or it could be that the quality of ingredients differ.
My dad went to buy some John Smiths bitter in tesco last week, £4.50 for 4 or £4.60 for 10!
Perhaps the steak in the steak and kidney mix is a better cut.
Agree with your point shoota, and the proof is in the eating, which is why we now prefer Aldi braising steak, oddly enough, as it's cheaper than Morrisons.
Tesco - Single tin of Branston Beans = 37p. Pack of 4 (same weight) £2.32

Rcky Racoon- If they put more kidney in it ,why would it be dearer
Gingerbee-They are both prepared ready to use
Woofgang- Absolute Rubbish
Nibbles- more absolute rubbish
Shoota/Old Geezer-The steak packed individually was probably better quality that in the mixed pack
You do pay more for prep, that's not rubbish. Look at the price of prepared veg packs.
Oxtail at my nearest butcher, 10 minute bus ride away £8.80 a kilo. Only wanted to make soup for myself!
Gollob are you always so gratuitously rude?
Surely it's because, as gollob said in the original post, the stewing steak is 'on offer' this week. Nothing to do with the packing or quality.
