I need 5 cheeses for a cheese board. What should I choose? In a bit of a hurry - so thanks in advance :-)

Camembert
Stilton
Cheddar
Petit Pont l'Eveque
Applewood
I would include Jarlsberg. Camembert. Wensleydale with cranberries.
I agree with Mark... although i would only eat the Cheddar and Applewood. I like Boursin.... lovely on a bit of crusty bread!
I tried to include something for everyone. Not sure how well Boursin would sit on a cheeseboard, though...
Camambert
Cambazola
Goat's cheese
Applewood
Pecorino
Cheese string.
Laughing Cow triangle.
Tesco Value sliced square.
Dairylea Dunker.
Some of that nasty pseudo cheese with Cranberry bits.
dont forget a blob of primula snags ;)
Sounds good Mark - I'll be round after dinner with a bottle of Warre's LBV...
Primula? I'm not a pleb.
smelly apath , bishops finger , brie , some lancashire and garstang blue
bishops finger is a beer, do you mean stinking bishop?
mmm ... stilton
soft goats
red leicester/something colourful
a couple with cranberry and/or apricots in!

more important: biscuits for cheese!
Forget biscuits and go for sliced warm fresh baguette with some Président butter...

Thanks very much.
Another quickie: wine or cider?
TIA
stilton with apricots, please
fruit ciders are lovely!

and yes to soft bread and good butter!

celery, grapes and sliced apple can add colour too!
Wine, definitely! Some fruity red Burgundy or Beaujolais, or some Rosé d'Anjou for those who don't like red. White doesn't really go with cheese...
and a few disgestive biscuits which are great with some cheeses
