Has anybody got any unusual ideas for sandwich fillings?  Obviously, they need to be edible. Thanks

I had egg and red pepper the other day; it's a perfect combo.  I also love smoked mackerel and horseradish and tuna, fresh spinach and onion.  Not wierd ones I know but hope they help.
ooer sorry, not mackerel and tuna together.
Call me crazy, but I like banana & Marmite!  :o)
You're certainly not crazy, Jackanory, but then I tend to think Marmite goes with just about anything. Delicious!
tinned tuna mixed with creamed horseradish, cold meat and coleslaw, especially chicken, strong cheese and pineapple jam or ready made applesauce, fried egg and hot mango chutney, good with crisp fried bacon
Peanut butter, slices of cucumber,Sprinkled with curry powder.Try it I  promise you its magic!! ( :)

Brie, lettuce & cranberry sauce - especially on crusty bread/baguette etc... mmmmm!

VINNY 100_2  I'm definitely going to try that - yum!  :o)

That sounds nice Jackanory:Also I cut brie into long thin slices coat them in flour then egg and then breadcrumbs and quickly deep fry them and put cranberry sauce over the top( :)nice with a feta cheese salad !!

Finely sliced crisp apple with grated cheese and either mayo or salad cream. Bacon with cheese and onion. Tuna with cheese and onion. My sister used to love banana and jam, just the thought of it makes me want to puke.

None of them very unusual, but they're tasty (except banana and jam of course!). Just throw together anything you enjoy the taste of; if you like the ingredients, it will taste nice to you.

I'm just back from New Orleans, where I tried a sandwich called a "muffaletta" - it was a beauty to behold.

It consisted of ham, salami, cheese, olives and what looked like piccallili relish on a kind of large foccacia bread - one was more than enough for two people.I'll certainly be trying to recreate it at home

one of my favs is grated cheese and grated carrot mixed together with either mayo or salad cream. yum
Tuna mayo green peppers and three bean salad
my husband loves cheese, salad cream and peanut butter(yuk!)

How far into your pregnancy are you?
I love cheese and marmalade, you can use jam but marmalade is much better!  And tuna and cheese is magic  :)
Corned beef, some baked beans and cheese. Melt in microwave then put in fridge to thicken again. Don't know why it's not sold in little jars!
