Separating egg yolks

I don't cook but is this a well known technique for separating yolks? It looks self-explanatory so knowledge of Chinese isn't necessary.

Interesting use of an empty plastic bottle. Lateral thinking I suppose. I don't like eggs but liked the video.

Egg on plate. Glass over the yolk. Tilt plate and pour off the white.

I don't think that is the same as a 500ml bottle that we have in Ireland and UK the top of the bottle seems wider. I was making biscuits this morning so I could have tried it though. Ah well next time.

That looks fun..I'll try it.
Usually I just break the egg into a bowl and pick up the yolk.
Works for me and no implements required.
