I have a load of pork loin chops with a use by date of 30 April - will they still be ok or is it better not to risk it? Thanks

sniff it
If they smell ok, they'll be ok.
Try giving to dog/cat/sniff it, if your animal won't sniff then don't risk.
I'd risk it if they smelt OK. Definitely make sure they are properly cooked, though.
Can't remember what chef I was watching but he said it's okay to eat pork pink now. Something to do with how the pigs are reared.
Not slimy...smell ok ... I'd use them... buut then I don't pay much mind to packaging dates
As above, if they smell fine then cook 'em.

Sherr I've been wanting to mention for ages but didn't have connection at my end. Yoju were asking about the ♥ and the ☺ but you were on a lappy. I hope you've been answered but found alt-codes.org
They have a section there which Ihope will help x
Get the barbie going I'm on the way round sherry.

Ron.
Nibble - if I gave my dog the meat to sniff, she'd have it if it wasn't off, so that would solve the problem of whether it was good enough for me to eat.

Ummmm - they eat raw pork mince smeared on bread in Germany. I've never been able to bring myself to try it so everyone thinks I'm the odd one.
can we cklub money together to get Bambi out of that pain? pork mince smeared on bread oMg no-do-no-de-no
bambi - usually I have to do that with at least 3 arms lengths, the furry ones have extensible teeth/tongue and appetite where a snack is concerned.. ;-)
I never pay attention to UBD's on food. If it looks ok, and smells fine- we eat it.
Alabqwerty - thank you!
Bambiagain.. I'm surprised ..you live in Germany and don't like Mett or Zwiebelmett ?
And here we are in England paying through the nose for it from the German Deli
:-)
Shaneystar2 - Mettwurst I will eat. Gehacktes on a Brötchen, no way! I buy mince to cook, the OH snaffles a bit to eat as it is. Ugh!
I couldn't eat that...no.no.

I could eat raw beef.
Lol we love it and we crave it .In Rewe last time in Germany we payed 99 cents Here it's 2.95 for a small portion .
Es geht doch wirklich nichts über ein gutes leckeres Mettbrötchen :)
If kept in a sealed packet they should be ok. Meat must look pink all over. Cook thoroughly.
Na ja. Ich bin bestimmt zu Englisch!
Give it to the dog and buy some fresh meat, dont be so tight!! :))
