My wife makes all my curries as I am allergic to tomato.I would like to know whether there are curries I could order from a standard menu in an Indian restaurant, preferably inclined towards hot.

Does it have to be Indian? How about a Thai green or red curry?
I think it would depend on the cook as to whether any or all of the curries on the menu contained tomatoes. You'd really have to ask, (or go with Snags suggestion).
My local makes chicken and lamb saag with no tomatoes and a Goan fish curry with no tomatoes.
my local makes a great murg paneer najakat. it's mild but you could ask them to spice it up for you.
