It's not often I post in CB so I apologise that it's going to be a moany one; was going to hi-jack NoMercys thread but everyone sounded so happy! Just want to have a bit of a grumble because; I have an eye infection which means I have to have time off work and hass ruined my weekend plans somewhat but was still feeling OK; was going to go shopping tomorrow to spend my first proper grown up pay cheque (was meant to be paid today) and thought that would t least cheer me up but it looks like it hasn't gone into my account and because I'm off work can't even ask anyone about it! Boooo!!

It has made me feel very sorry for myself jj; is my birthday on Monday as well which was what all my plans were based around! :o(
I probably will tony; although think I might ring the council as they're the ones that sort it all out I believe (work in a school)

I got paid yesterday. Already two-thirds of the bl00dy money has gone on direct debits etc.

Oh no red! Keep wrapped up when your at home; it's a chilly one today!
Luckily I don't have any direct debits salla (apart from my contact lenses which I now can't use grrrr!!) but have been transferring money over from my savings account for petrol and essentials all month and have now nearly run out!

Well I asked at the school and they all said it was the last working Friday of each month that we get paid so am hoping that I don't have to wait until the end of February because i'm a new starter or something!

Yeah might have to; although my lovely boyfriend did offer to give me some money to tide me over because I was worried something like this would happen. So I'm not in the worse situation ever was just so enjoying having a proper grown up job and wanted the pay to prove it lol!

Deposits do not necessarily hit your bank at midnight......keep checking throughout the day.

Am checking every half an hour at the moment JTH! It's like checking a lottery ticket; there's a faint glimmer of hope before reality kicks in!
No wasn't in work yesterday and was imagining they'd go into pigeon holes today.

You could phone the school and ask if there is a wage slip in your pigeon hole. jack the hat is right about it not necessarily going into your account at midnight, could you not phone one of your colleagues and ask them if their wages have gone in.

I might do that tony; all the nursery nurses knew I was desperate for my wages so may text one of them! Would feel cheeky ringing the school yesterday to say I was going to be off then again today to ask about wages!

Have text my colleague to double check it is today that is meant to be payday, would feel both cheeky and an idiot if it wasn't! Will wait for her reply then ring!
