Why didnt Gary Rhodes and JC Novelli wear chefs hats in Hells Kitchen? Surely this is a Hygene issue!!

There is a question in films and tv about their hygene issues.  I hear that some people have become ill after eating there.

I've watched hundreds of these chef type shows and I've never seen a TV chef that paid the slightest attention to issues of hygiene.

They handle raw chicken and dont wash their hands properly, or taste a sauce and put the spoon back in the pot, or lick sauce off their fingers and then prepare a sidesalad.

Routinely meat isn't cooked to a sufficient temperature for it to be safe.

I wouldn't eat in any of their restaurants if I had a lifelong free pass.

On great Food Live, ALL the chefs wash their hands after prepping chicken etc.   I have to laugh at the suggestion that non- tv chefs somehow have better hygiene!!!
