I'd roast it too. Some roasties, veg and gravy. Plain and simple, but so tasty!
Probably let it roam around the garden, laying eggs and clucking!!!

Stuff the cavity with halved lemons, rosemary, basil,salt and pepper. Put some garlic and herb butter between the skin and the breast meat and lay on a bed of sliced carrots, onions and celery. Then roast.

Actually, you could chop some red and green chillis, mix it with soft cheese (with herbs) and stuff it under the skin - which you'll have to seperate first by using your hand. Don't use anything sharp,or you'll tear it and it won't work.
Then just roast it as usual. Lush!

this week we've had:
chicken fried rice
hot roast chicken sandwiches
sweet and sour chicken
chicken salad

they were 3 for a tenner in cwop so I'm a bit sick of it now!
Would it be a waste to just make a soup?
soup is never a waste..... just what cheap chooks are for
