Usually it's being moaned about so thought I'd post something I was impressed with.

Ventured to big Asda for some food and bought a cooked chicken reduced down to £2.47. They charged me full price at the till so customer services refunded me the difference and gave me a £2 gift card for my inconvenience! £47p for a whole cooked chicken, bargain!

The cats will be happy!

Excellent!

ASDA have a thing on at the moment where if you find your shopping cheaper elsewhere, they give you a voucher. Trouble is - I don't understand whether you would have to buy two baskets of the same stuff (which I don't want) before you could work it out!
FlyBe have also come up with the goods. I was due to go to a funeral last Monday but the plane was delayed. By the time it was due to arrive, I would have been too late.
I wrote to FlyBe and they refunded the full fare.
Hats off to them!
Boxy, I've never tried it - but I think you just enter the details on this form and they do all the work.

Thanks karen - I'll give that a go (not that I rate our local ASDA much though...)
Cat's are getting the chicken??

What a waste! :-(
PS

Think the cats will be happy with the chicken regardless of the cost, don't think they give a stuff about your purse ;-)

Nooooo, are they hell haha! It's for me but with tonight's tea and some for tomorrow I will still have some leftover so they will get some bits as a treat.

I swear they've clocked it in the kitchen already - got one all smooshed up to me on the sofa looking all cute!

I'm not that keen on Asda usually, went up to try and find something my brother is looking for. More of a Morrisons girl.
They don't actually. Well mine doesn't.....he only has me cooking for him twice a week.
The ASDA one is simple - there is an email address on your receipt. Check it the day after your purchase and it will tell you if they owe you any money.
I cook chicken for my dog, and fish. Not all the time for for treats sometimes.
I'm a Morrisons girl. Have to be because we only have a Morrisons. I absolutely hate Asda, and that's before I even get as far as the aisles!!
Sorry to change the subject a bit, but went into asda and used the self service checkout, paid by a £20 note into the machine, the change came out and it was wrong. called over an assistant and She opened the machine and said someone had filled the £1 coin slot with 20p pieces. I didn't think that sort of thing was possible but She was sure that was the problem and refunded the difference.
so if you use one of those self service checkouts, make sure you check your change.
I had reason to complain about a Harvester pub recently. Heard nothing for about 3 weeks and then someone rang me up, discussed my complaint and was really polite and apologetic. Yesterday I received a letter from them entitling us to £30 off our meal the next time we eat at any Harvester. The phone call alone would have been sufficient for me to feel that my complaint was being taken seriously so the voucher was a bonus.
Never mind the cats; I would like some of that chicken too. Next time buy the biggest chicken in the world and then invite us all round for an AB chicken evening.

Good idea, eh?

I am glad to see you are giving some of our shops some good press here.
Next time you get ill swallow a pound coin and in a few days you should see some change!

Sorry about this but you started with change.

I would try the receipt thing but think most of the stuff I bought was Asda's own save a few pouches of cat food.

I am rubbish at complaining, partly maybe from having worked in cafes/restaurants/fast food places and a supermarket when I was younger and partly because I'm just rubbish at that kind of thing. I did a few months ago when I went with a friend into a chain bar to grab a quick soft drink and snack keeping her company before a do she was going to.

We were initially quite rudely moved from the first place we sat, being told it was reserved - no signs or anything up and we had no problem moving, it was the way we were spoken to. Found another seat, last one available, and my friend was stood at the bar for about 30 minutes!!! To save the seat I was sat on my own there while my poor friend was stood at the bar just to order 2 soft drinks and some potato wedges. It wasn't even that busy (a bar so not loads of seating), I've seen it far busier and waited far less than that. I filled in an email feedback thing though also made the point the food came very quickly and the girl who brought it was lovely and food very nice. Heard nothing.
Must admit it was a while ago but a similar thing happened as regards overcharging by Asda and the customer service refunded ALL the price of the item charged and also gave us the item - effectively free
I was mischarged at Asda for a special offer aswell - so check your receipts, people!
