wife and i thinking of buying an electric cool box to take on holiday.looked on amazon,some quite pricey but main problem is the customer reviews.one box was highly recommended by most,however a few said DO NOT BUY !!! not really sure now if these things are worth the money.any advice most welcome.thank you.

The cost is in relation to how much you would use it. How long you would be travelling usng it, and what you would be expecting to keep cold. - but if you just want to keep stuff cold, then a conventional coolbox with frozen bricks is quite adequate, more freezing bricks can be bought than is provided - I often use 4 in the bottom and four on top and things are cold on a 6-7 hours trip.
no good for a beach holiday!
Completely agree with mercia - conventional coolbox with pre-frozen cool-blocks probably just as good (and pre-chill everything beforehand).

have a conventional one with the ice pack thingy's but looking for something to keep in a b&b room for a few days.cant depend on re-freezing the ice packs unfortunately.
