Afternoon all.

I'm giving the Katsu Curry a go this evening. Anyone got a good recipe to start from?

Alternatively, some supermarkets sell the Katsu curry kit which is amazing too x

No one seems to be able to agree on a base! Some use coconut, others use stock, very odd.

The coconut one seems like a good idea though. I'll take it from there.

sounds nice, i'll have a look for that

Breaded fried chicken with a mild curry sauce on top, with carrots.

It doesn't sound the nicest thing, but it is pretty good - it's wholesome winter grub really. I recommend trying it next time you pop to a Japanese restaurant - some get addicted to it's goodness.

Hmm. Sounds like Chicken Maryland with a curry sauce.

"chicken nugget curry?"

LOL. It kind of is though... Tried a version similar to Vodkancoke's last night, it was superb, worked perfectly.

I will be putting chilli in it in future though, I can have a curry without the heat (although I resisted last night to attempt to keep it "authentic").

Thanks everyone.
