Difference between drinking choclate and cocoa?

I have a recipe wwhich uses drinking chocolate but i only have cocoa would this turn out ok? what is the difference between them? would the quantity be the same?

cocoa - doesn't contain the milk and sugar that drinking chocolate does, so you would need to adjust but you can use it.
I would use less cocoa and add a bit of sugar and if you have any powdered milk then add that too otherwise it probably doesn't matter about the milk too much.

thanks for your quick answer - i do not have my recipe to hand but it is quark with sugar substitute (Slimming World friendly recipe you see!) and drinking chocolate but i shall have to use cocoa.
I guess it will be even lower calorie then ;o)
