Strawberry ice-cream

OK so I'm desperate to use my new ice cream maker. I've got some strawberries so I think I'll have a tinker later.

My question is this: Some recipes use eggs and some do not. Which makes the nicest icecream?

lol Salla. Mine (if they laid any) would be onion flavoured so that isn't going to help.

I've got eggs, cream, milk, sugar - all the things I think I might need.

definately with eggs..I've started making ice cream again BM. Made Rum and Raisin at the week-end and Oreo for the kids the other morning ....

I had 15 cartons of different ice cream on the go last summer BM.....It was a bit like an addiction when I got my machine last year

With eggs without a doubt. Make a custard if you ave salmonella concerns.

My grandfather was an ice-cream maker in Italy and they dont use eggs...personally that's how I prefer it but you can play around with recipes and end up eating loads and loads of ice-cream! Bonus!:D

I don't know - she makes a lot of ice cream though.

It's only a small bowl so I've got to make sure I get the quantities right. All the recipes I have seen use 5 blinking eggs!

I don't have salmonella concerns - I've got an iron cast stomach.

We went to an italian ice cream parlour in Scotland last year vodka - at Largs I think. My goodness, I've never had ice cream like it. Felt a bit sick afterwards mind.

You can make batches of it using the 5 egg recipe. It gets frozen so you can just freeze loads of cartons!
