Some of the Master of Wine folks do things like this... but although the best informed they can be on the pricy side. There are also folks in the trade who participate in the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. Not as high as MWs obviously, but can still know their stuff.
From my own experience the Masters of Wine are quite unstuffy and are good for a laugh... cerainly far from wine snobbery. Have met a few from the WSET who are a bit more stuffy and proper.
Try the sites and see if they have a contact who can point you in the direction of any members in your area that could help
