Yes, I've noticed. OH is a gardener and he says all fruits are having a poor year because of so much wind and rain in the spring and early summer that knocked the blossom off the trees.
I dont know about them but there was a very distinct lack of cherries on my tree and apples and plums on my neighbours (no windfall for me)
It was because of the cold spring it seems
Wasn't much blossom on the blackthorn around here (rain/wind I think) - so not expecting many sloes.
