Morning Yogi, An Ex prison warder getting scammed for solar panels, with respect to the 70+ person he give £7000 for the wires to be laid out in his attic, that was the end of his money, A elderly person made out a will, left a neighbour £40.000 which she never received because of a scam, the warn the elderly with this latest, you get a phone call from BT saying you owe the money, you say you do not, they say if you do not pay NOW we will cut your phone off & show you by just saying nothing & you believing you have been cut off, they then come back on the phone, this time you pay, give out your details I think you can fore see what comes after that.

Morning Mac, just beware of these bsds.
lol@ triggs
well anyone's welcome to try to con me but as i don;t have any money i'm not a good target!
Unbelieveable, TWR........there should be more protection for folk who get caught in these type of scams......and if and when caught, harsher sentences given.

Sadly, the elderly seem to be the most targeted in these scams and hopefully more should say NO THANKS after seeing these programmes on the subject and report them to the authorities if at all suspicious.

Mac, it really gets my back up when this happens to persons of the senior age, I think the basds that do this sort of thing are the scum & dregs of society, the persons that scammed the person out of £40.000 had a small amount of their assets taken away??? why a small amount? If there was justice in this crap country they would take the lot away. British justice! its a bloody joke, its no wonder the dregs of Europe come here.

Morning Bobbi, its just been on, the one about BT is one hell of a con please beware of these basds. x
Just got of the phone from a potential scammer I think. Someone trying to sell me solar panels, but calling from an internetional number. I was quite polite for me!

Your answer says it all.
You tell her, TWR.......and whilst you're at it why don't you tell her what more she could possibly do when she doesn't live in the same country as her MIL?!?
Sounds like your MIL may be getting a bit forgetful in her old age and would need help, not hinderance from you, redh.

Maybe when you reach that age and have problems remembering things yourself, you may realise that help and understanding was the solution, not waht you mention.
For Funks Sake...what**
