Hello!

I'm just wondering...my and Halifax juniors played charades for about an hour on Christmas Day - are we still the only ones doing this?

It used to be a Christmas afternoon tradition when I was young - has it died out now?

Sorry, I'd rather stick needles in my eyes. I can see how it appeals to some people though. :-)
I like playing charades but we haven't done it for ages.

Lol molly, after a couple of large glasses of wine, it was easy!

Mad - well that's easy for me!

A - little word signal like they used to on Give Us A Clue

Gas - infantile I know, but the bottom burp

Car - running round the lounge like a loon with an imaginary steering wheel in front of me

I know it sounds sad, but we laughed for ages!!! x
We did play a board game similar to charades called Articulate. You basically just have to describe whatever the card says and your team mate has to get as many as possible right in one minute. We really enjoyed it and it's not a long game so you don't get bored of it.
After you've broken words down they're not that ahrder really are they, i don't know if i'd have thought of that though . . .
We always play Charades at Xmas, always have and I hope always will. Love it.
Grandson Tree likes to play I Spy...so do I less hectic.

Glad it's not just me lady!

Tree - it's funny but you can really have fun playing i spy, even now that Halifax juniors are teens!
Yes, two of my younger cousins had a junior charages hame for Christmas so we were playing it in the evening.

Felt old when my older cousin (younger than me though) said she didn't remember Give Us A Clue, even older when she couldn't remember the A Team either!
That's teach me for not concentrating, Junior Charades game even!
it is considered as a Hardcase in the house here....
We played charades on Christmas day. Children, 8 and 12, insisted we played again on Boxing day.
Yep, we play it every Christmas. It's harmless fun for the children and adults alike, and has everyone laughing.
We used to play charades at my wife's day centre every Xmas. It was great fun. Everyone seemed to come out of themselves and everyone had a wonderful time and lots of laughs.
Yes,my three grandchildren from oldest daughter love it. Also Adverbs. Someone goes out of room. Others choose an adverb. Then person comes in and chooses different people to do things like it e.g.pour an ( imaginary) cup of tea like it etc.Grandaughters 15 and 12 and grandson 10 still love that game! ('Drunkenly' is always a favourite and the 10 year old is spot on. Hmmm...)
