I know of somebody who has recently moved in to temporary housing and has not long left on the waiting list until there offered a permanent council house.
This person is seperated from their partner and has been attending court hearings about the forth coming divorce, but still the finicial side of things has yet to be disclosed.
This person is also in no means short of money and I feel it is very un-fair to put themselves forward for housing until all assets have been fairly divided from the divorce. Is this normal procedure from the council? Should they help this person so soon without knowing the full out comming's of the divorce?

Bednobs....some people need to be smacked with a wet fish..!!
Why not sweetly say "I do admire the way you budget, being able to give the children lovely holidays like that", you may then discover that a grandparent or the Ex has paid, so the children get a holiday.
so apart from jealousy this is not impacting on your life, my best advice would be to sever this friendship as its seems to be causing you great pain.

my neighbours dont work and have 3 holidays abroad a year, does it bother me?? no why the hell should it, its none of my business!!
Three foreign holidays a year and doesn't work? Maybe that neighbour has won the lottery?

because as i said i speak to her she has told me she paid for them, enough said anyway.
We are entitled to our own opinions. I just wanted to talk about whether if this sitaution is allowed and instead of giving me answers i have been called a witch hunter....im not going to grass her up as im not a evil person and couldnt do that to the children. I just wanted to see if this was acceptable.
The end.
ive grassed people up who ive believed to be fiddling, it doesnt make me evil ! if im peed off about something i do something about it, but i also admit when im in the wrong. If you think something suspicious is going on then you need to take a stand otherwise its a case of butt out and mind your own buisness.
dont know sandy, non of my business how people work out their finances. I live and let live
Good for the neighbour, however they manage it.
I find I've enough problems of my own without worrying about how other people, who have nothing to do with me, manage their lives.
Like I said....My Grandad use to pay for my holidays.

He doesn't anymore...but when I was on my own with the kids he'd pay for us to go away.
