There will be a family of 8 adults and 2 children going away together and if it rains I thought we could play some party games, so what are your best party games.

Charades is good for a mixed age group
This one always used to make everyone laugh (OK it was a few years ago)

Silly People who live in our town - ( just make them up as you go along):

e.g. Name the - (someone call out a suggestion) like

Our Local Prozzie -

then everybody writes down a silly name

eg- Lucy Lastic,

The Town drunk - M. T Bottle
A Page 3 model - Norma Stitz
Local Jeweller - Val Yooble
The doctor - Ben Dover, Stan Dupp
The school bully - Annie Mosity
Local builder - C. Ment & his girlfriend Eva Brick

See what I mean? Bit corny but it used to make the kids laugh
Airmail Knock!
It's like Postmans Knock but you go a lot further....................
Now then naughty, there are children present at this party....
This requires hats and cigarettes for Games Master and all players - plastic cutlery is fine if no-one smokes.

The Games Master starts slowly, and everyone must imitate his actions - for example, he stands up with his hat on, puts the cigarette in his mouth, sits down, crosses his legs, uncrosses his legs, takes the hat off, the cigarette out - any combination, and all players must imitate him. When he shouts 'Stop!' anyone not mimicing him exactly is out.

Next round, he does it all faster, then faster still, and then ...

he tells everyone that when he shouts 'Stop!' all the players must be doing the OPPOSITE of what he is doing - if his hat is on, theirs must be off, if he is standing they must be sitting, if his cigarette is out, theirs must be in, and so on.

The faster you do it, the better fun it is. A small child can always be the 'spotter', or shout 'Stop!' so everyone is involved.
