Anyone ever used Venture ? I'm trying to organise a family photo session.

The pictures a fab and exactly what I want, but they don't have a price list! I would want a picture about A3 size!

If anyone has used this company? How much did it cost you and what size was that... inc frame etc.....

Cheers in advance x x x

I love their photos! All I know is that they are VERY expensive! A couple of our friends joked that they almost had to re-mortage their house when they had theirs done! The trouble is they offer you a free family photo shoot plus small photo but then their photos are so amazing you want them all!

Ahhh, I thought as much, it's always a big giveaway, when they dont't put a price list up!!! I may have to give them a ring and ask!
Picture styles are wonderful. Prices are riddiculus. We had a voucher for the shoot and 1 free small photo. When we went to the viewing, i loved loads of them but was determined ( well broke actually) not to buy any - just choose the free one. In the end, we still spent an extra 150 and that was just on two small 7x5 photos.

I think other studios are now creating that style of picture so i would look around for cheaper prices. The Venture expeience is all very clever - soft lighting, background music, drinks etc and a very clever sales pitch. Be wary!!
We've used them twice and I adore the photo's, they get them just right, beacause although they are "staged" they have you running around so your facial expressions are natural. The first time we got the free picture, the second time my lovely mum bought them for us.
A friend of mine got some done and they are fabulous but I recall her saying that she was paying them off at 100 a month for 12 months. She had 4 photos about 10" square on some sort of hard board (no frames) pretty expensive I agree but they are fantastic.
Andrea - get someone to take some shots of the family, and then either have them blown up to the size you need, or get them "put onto canvas". I know it's not the same as a professional phtographer taking them, but they can still look very effective. My son (10) took one of me and his father, and printed it out on photographic paper on an ordinary pc printer. We framed it, and it hangs in the hall - lovely!
We have photographers take family pics for us every 2 or 3 years, but it is - VERY expensive, done that way.
Hi andrea81

Not sure where abouts in the UK you live but take a look at

www.antonyoxley.co.uk

very similar to Venture at a fraction of the cost. He will work to whatever you have in mind & always has great ideas. If you have a set budget let him know & he'll tell you what he can do.

Hope that helps.
