Hi everyone, hope you all had a good christmas. I mentioned a while back about this strange pulse like sensation I occasionally get in my lower abdomen. It's quite regular now, probably 2 or 3 times a day, feels like a calm and slow pulse either left, right or in the middle. It lasts for about 2 minutes at a time and is definately not the babys heartbeat or mine as is too slow. It is rythamic. Baby seems to be moving around as normal. Any ideas?

Hi MB, hope you had a lovely Christmas!

check with your midwife when you can but i still reckon it could be hiccups. Or maybe baby is lying on a nerve and causing smething to twitch?
I get this too and got it when I was at my last appointment with the midwife. I didnt mention it to her and she was trying to listen to the babys heartbeat at the time and simply said baby has hiccups. Now when I get it, I just assume baby has hiccups again.

Cheers folks, hope you both enjoy the rest of the holidays x
Don't know when you have your baby Mountainboo - but could it be Braxton Hicks?
Im now 33 weeks pregnant and im experiencing the same thing. It started about 2 weeks ago and it's very annoying in the nights. The pulsing is very slow and strong, i would put my husband's hand to feel it. I was advised by a doctor to get an ultra sound done to see the location of the placenta. Hope all is well with me and the baby, a little worried but praying for the best.
