Hi ,can anyone suggest what i could do to increase my weight and stamina a bit.I dont want to have to eat lots of sweets and heavy carbohydrates .I have a BMI of 10 which i am sure is low.

Well Bigmamma i am totally green with envy! Wish i could ask a question like that! LOL mine are all how to loose weight.
Some people are natuarley slender, and look lovely for it. If you are worried about your BMI why dont you ask your doctor?
If it was me in your shoes i would find the nearest pizza hut! LOL!mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
If you really have a BMI of 10 then you should be seeing your doctor. Any BMI under 18 is underweight
Any BMI under 18 is considered Annorexic, how did you find your BMI out?I'd see a Nutrientionalist and a dietician excuse the spelling. It may also be worth visiting a homeopath but you definitely need to increase your BMI thats seriously unhealthy. Good luck

Is your BMI measured my a set of scales? If so it could be dodgy. Calipers are the best method to find it.
To put on weight, imho, you need to improve the quality of what you eat. Meals with real meat and complex carbs and veg. Oh and pudding. I'd (me) would look at weight training too, but thats just me

I would try this one as 10 is very low

I would try this one as 10 is very very low 18.5 is underweight.

Do it again

Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

Thanks all for your messages. I just tried the link you gave me MrKnowall thankyou but that one is putting it at 6.5 which is even lower.

tried the other link and it put it at 12 but ive tried lots of others since who all set it at 10
To get 10.5 you have to be 5 stone
Thats if your saying your 5.8

I am 5 ft 7ins and weight is at present 40 kilos which is 88 pounds.
88 pounds is the average weight of a 12-year old boy.

Unless your 12 your weight cant be 40 kilos (88 pounds)

So unless your a size 0 your scales are wrong
you are 5ft7ins and 6st 4 . You should see your doc and be on a weight gain plan that is designed for you. At least get yourself checked out.
