he's technically not my nephew but my sister and his dad have been dating since 2008. My nephew is 18. I was at my dads house with my sister and brother having dinner. My dad brought up offenders for some reason. I was in the other room, so I didn't hear very clearly. But my nephews mom ex girlfriend used to baby sit my nephew. She's kind of crazy from what I hear. Anyways, I guess she had a 3 year old kid or something. She said that the 3 year old came up to her and said that my nephew stuck his finger up their bum. My nephew was 14 at the time. Or that's what my sister said. My sister didn't believe her, because my sister said that's weird a 3 year old would tell someone that. I don't think its very weird. I feel like I should talk to him. I feel like I should do something.

you know a lot of pedophiles dont you we have no idea on the context of the situation maybe he was wiping their bottom or something who knows but if the person who heard the news or their parents arent concerned then maybe leave it there
You didn't hear clearly so you may have misunderstood. However those responsible for the 3 year old will have heard and maybe will be taking more care in future, just in case. One would hope so.

Your intentions are good but I think, since you are unsure and the parents are aware, anything you chose to do may just cause additional problems. As mentioned, the parents can do whatever investigations or precautions they feel fit.
You are not a witness
you do nothing
