Is Ashley too girly? What are your thoughts? Stephen is the middle name and Nobes is the surname.

With respect, Oscar - this is the third similar type of question you have asked today. Is there a special reason for this?
Oscar, if you don’t mind me asking how many babies are you naming? Are you expecting a multiple birth?

Not keen on the name.
All these surnames... are you doing a whole street, a whole office, everyone in a family?
If you are about to be a parent you will have to make far more difficult decisions. It's what you and your partner thinks that matters, not total strangers
you should perhaps confer with this chap https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Family/Question1621637-2.html
This going somewhere but goodness knows where. Google kids names and have a nice day.
Sorry, I hadn't realised there are two posters seeking advice, thoughts on names.
Hmm, AS Nob, perhaps not eh, kids can be very cruel.

Might toughen him up in the Playground I guess.
Horrible!!!
I have a daughter called Ashleigh (different spelling) and I think it's nice for boys and girls.
I once taught a little boy called Ashley; no-one made fun of him, but A.S. Nobes is asking for trouble. Think of these things. Another kid I taught had had parents who didn't think. His name was P.Ennis - honestly.
Pick names that you and your partner like .

What we think does not matter
Hate it.
Surely just pick what you like. (and don't call me Shirley!)
I went to school with a boy called Ashley and he never got any teasing for it (this was in the Fifties, things may be different now)
Up to you really. I prefer Ashley as a girl's name myself, but it's not "too girly" for a boy.
I once knew someone called A. Gay, parents need to be careful although when he was named it probably just meant happy.
Ashley seems to have moved on to a girl's name- but works for either. I would perhaps change the surname, if anything.
Reminds me of the character Ashley Wilkes in Gone With the Wind
