Wanted to show my daughters some holiday videos from years ago in Spain. A lot of the beach scenes had topless lady sunbathers in them.

Youtube removed them and said it violated their codes of decency.

I replied to them and asked why they have vids of anal bleaching and gynaecology tutorials.

Didn’t they show ISIS beheadings I believe ?
Double standards indeed Sparklykid
Be interesting to hear their response.
Yeah while am agreeing that its double standards , am wandering have the removed all beach scenes then...there must be some left without topless women on?. Is it important your daughter sees what topless ladies look like?
theres some 1960s beach scenes on there like this
I guess ‘medical knowledge’ gets precedent over happy snaps that may titillate

As the yanks would say :

Go figure !
Why were you looking up anal bleaching and gynae vids?
Nice holiday videos there Bobb, looks like you had a good time.
sparkly kid might of found anal bleaching by accident if they misytped a search for root canal bleaching
I would imagine that the topless ladies had not given permission for their photos to be taken and slapped on Youtube. Those who model for medical style photos will no doubt have done so.
it does make the mind boggle as to why anyone needs a gynae tutorial - perhaps you can enlighten us SK?
you know GP surgeries are mainly open now?

If that was the case then youtibe would have to remove any picture that had members of the public in them so I doubt that was the reason.

More some algorithm just picked it up.

Didn't violate any of those terms. (afaik)
All big tech are infamous for their double standards.

A gynae tutorial could be for anything
It may describe how a smear test is carried out

It may describe how a hysterectomy is performed

Some women have no knowledge or experience of either

Not everyone has immediate or direct access to a gp surgery

From what I have seen on YouTube you can find reference or information for any type of surgical or clinical procedure

Hence my answer
When any work colleague asks a DIY question I always refer them to YouTube
There is normally a video on there to cover pretty much any DIY or technical question
