Ok so today after work we were meant to drive up to Stoke on Trent to continue house renovating. To save Mr Smow coming all way home then starting the 200 mile drive from here we agreed he’d get train from central London to Staines station and I’ll drive there to pick him up. Then we’d carry on journey. So he gets train towards Staines. I leave in car to drive there. M25 was gridlocked due to accident and everyone going away for half term. Took me 1.5 hours. I get there. Wait for his train. He arrives looking very very guilty. He then says “ you’re going to kill me but I’ve left the keys to the house in Stoke at home”. Aaaggghh!!!!! So we then have to get back in car to do the exact journey I’ve literally just done!! By the time I get home I’ve done a 4 hr round trip to end up where I started! At home! He then says. “ right shall we be off now?” Sorry??.. I’ve just spent 4 hours going nowhere!!
So I have sulking Mr Smow right now.....

Just send him up on his tod Smow, put your feet up and chill ;)
If your still going up to Stoke I'll give you a wave from the flyover at junc 10 M6, Smow.

Don't be to hard on him, Smow.
That would have drove me nuts!
just be zen about this... it's not the destination that counts, it's the journey...
Is Mr Smow related to Caran's OH, by any chance?

Lol Tony!
I swear to god I am biting my tongue so hard!! I came out with swear words earlier that I didn’t even knew existed!!
Definitely 'No!' Write it off and start again tomorrow. Bit like us arriving at holiday cottage up remote hill in Scotland in May. I'm unpacking and he tells me he's forgotten all his medication- it's in a box on the 'fridge at home A 5-and -a-half hours drive away! (Meds. include essential stuff for heart and blood.)

We got over it, you wll, but, as I said, write today off. :)

Omg jourdain!!
WOW, that is bad jourdain.
It took me a lot of stress on a very wonky mobile phone line to sort out by about midnight. To add to the problems, I rang 111, but it was the weekend the NHS computers were hacked and the Scottish Drs. could not access his records, therefore they could not prescribe (lot of pills and we didn't know all the dosages). I ended up ringing a friend in the village at 9.30 p.m. and, bless her, she went down to my neighbour's (with whom I'd left a key) and they both went into the house and, acting on my descriptions, they found the prescription. Friend took it home and then read it out, very carefully, to me.
I then got back to NHS111, original Dr. had gone home so I had to start again, eventually I got through and a new prescription was written. I had to drive to Melrose (about 20 miles) on Sunday morning to collect it from A & E and then to the only chemist in the Borders which was open on Sunday (Tesco's at Galashiels, for future reference). All ended well, 'phew. I think I'm due a medal! :)
I think I'm due a medal! :)

What a palaver, very well done you jourdain.
