Antiques? Best place would be where the old folks hang out: What is your question concerning antiques?:)

Well, I'll try it out on you guys then. - it's a ceramic ashtray, with figure of a little naked gnomey man, holding a jar of Chairman tobacco, standing on a rounded bit with the words Chairman tobacco written on, with a shell shaped ashtray as base, it is marked royal Staffordshire pottery,(A J Wilkinson) honey glaze. I inherited it from an aunt, as I always loved it, and could date back to 1930s, it's cream coloured. When my son was a teenager he used to turn it round when I wasn't looking and tried to convince me it moved itself! And my sister and I used to think the wee man resembled our postman......anyone any ideas as to where I could find more about it, tried googling but could take forever.
£400!
Jesus someone wants to pay a monkey for the ugly little man

I would sell....

as Dicko might say - I would put £20-40 on it but the valuers have gone crazy
I wonder what it actually sold for.
Peter, a "monkey"?: is that a Britishism for 400 pounds?
five hundred (cans of beer) stuey.....
DTCwordfan, I do appreciate you interpreting the expression in terms which are comprehensible to me:)
A monkey is £500, a pony is £25.
