About the 1930/40s an aunt was attacked while working in a cafe/tearoom,there was a court case on this but

unless her name was Donaghue and she was attacked by a snail in a ginger beer bottle i'm going to need more information and better clues..... he he (apologies for those who haven't studied law and won't know what i'm babbling on about) x

A Mrs Alice Williams, middle aged manageress of the Victory Cafe in Edgware Road was found dead, from knife wounds, shortly after mid-night on Boxing Day 1950.

Ah well, it's been over thirty years since I first studied insurance law, I'm quite impressed I remembered it at all :-)
me too :-) but then I never studied any law.
If you give some more details such as location, surname maybe if it doesn't identify you if might help people who can search archives.

Ahh I remember studying that case well, my tort tutor had a photo from where he had been to the cafe bless him :)
Sorry, should clarify, the cafe in Donaghue v. Stevenson! I think it's a park there now.
