Just noticed a comment on my sister's FB page about a comment her six year old made about I am a Celebrity indicating that she had watched it. Is it just me, or is ten o'clock far too late for a six year to go to bed?

Could it have been a one off?
yes. School days should be 6 to 7.30....they need their sleep, albeit in different amounts between them.....just like adults.
Way too late. 7.00 or 7.30 max at least it was for my daughter

Her daughter made a comment about Fatima doing some challenge, so it sounds like she is v familiar with the programme. Even my eleven year old is bed at half nine. Wouldn't dream of saying anything to her, it's her family, h decisions. Justs seems late for a little one.
Based on my own childhood, then yes much too late.
But I don't know how many hours sleep a six year old needs.

Perhaps it was recorded, or watched on-line ?
I think 10pm is too late for a 6 yr old, but I think watching "I'm a celebrity.." at 10pm is enough to damage a 6yr old!

My six year old goes at eight, but we don't get up super early (7.30).
But of course I wouldn't say anything either........
10 pm is too late, even if she was sleeping on a chair downstairs, it isn't right. she should be in bed.
I had mine in bed as early as poss :-)

I feel bad for her as I know she works and has an early start so probably keeps her children up a bit later than I would (so that she can see them) - I try to do mine fairly (little ones - 7 o'clock to bed, and I stay with them till they fall asleep, 6 year old at 8, 7 year old at 8.15 and 11 year old at 9.30). Oh well, each to their own. At least she is spending time with h.
It's not just you.....Don't know what goes on out there these days.....my kids complain because they have to be in bed by 9.30, and they are 12 and 14!!!!
Mine...13 & 15 don't have a bedtime anymore. They always go to bed before I send them.
We never had an official bedtime with any of ours, but as they got to be 7 upwards would happily cart themselves off to bed all well before nineish usually with a book- they were all allowed to wake naturally usually as well, and most were up pre 8.00 am- so depends really- whatever your sister finds works for her.
Yes it is. I'm a Celeb is on at that time of night for a reason; it's not suitable for 6 year olds
I think what's suitable for a child depends on the type of family the child comes from and it's parent's opinions. My kids watched Panorama- far better than Eastenders or the dreaded 'Corrie'- but it was aired after the watershed.
its repeated during the day
my 6 year old goes to bed at 7.30 but is still wide awake at 10. He gets up anytime after 6am and according to his teachers shows no signs of being a sleep deprived child at school.

theres always the possibility she saw it on catch up or sky+ or something.
