Was your first born early or late?

I have been told so many times that first borns are most likely to be born late.
After asking a few people and I found that equally alot seem to have arrived early. So thought i'd post and see what seems to be more common.

my first was 17 days late. :(
my second was 4 days late.

I was given so many differing dates, I'm still NOT sure..............:o)

My firstborn boy was 10 days late. He was due on my 21st birthday (never did get a party...) but arrived on Bonfire Night.
My secondborn girl was bang on the due date.

The midwife recently told my daughter that very often mothers to be follow their own mother's birth experience. She subsequently gave birth to her first baby three days early just as I had her three days early.

I was given dates based on;
'cycle'
conception date (I was fortunate in being able to be very specific) ;D
scan
development
time head engaged,
All covered middle of May to middle of June.............

Oh think i've answered this in pregnancy, but will give dates of our other children too.

First child was born 3 days early....................second 5 days late..............third was 3 days late and the fourth was also 5 days late.....................all natural births.

My first and only born was due on the 28th September 1989 but he arrived on 9th October 1989 - I went into labour on the Saturday morning but he did'nt arrive until the Monday afternoon and he is still a lazy sod !!!

He is 20 tomorrow.

My first and only child was one day late according to the dates . He did however threaten to arrive way too early , putting me into the start of prem labour at 29 weeks . Into hospital and on bed rest for 9 weeks !!

Yep i'm 28 weeks now :o) going by very quickly and i'm very very excited - this is my first.
