Do other pregnant ladies find they cry more easily now? I can't watch any news report featuring babies or children without bursting into tears.
Sitting here sobbing watching the ITV news, where they are reporting about a baby who was born to a mother, two days after she was pronounced clinically dead, so baby Aya was born at 26 weeks.
Hi Velvetee - I was like that during pregnancy and am still the same (my son is now 2), I particularly remember an advert (for mastercard I think - around Xmas 06) showing people at airports meeting loved ones - it had me bawling every time!! When my son was 5 months Maddie McCann was taken and it still haunts me. Like every decent mother in the UK when I heard about baby P I ran to my boy and hugged him tight. Motherhood seems to strip your top layer off and leave you very emotional and sensitive. Its because our babies are so precious! Big hug x
it only gets worse velvetee, my children are 12,9 and 8 and I burst into tears at the slightest negative thing, even now. however I have become a bulldog do it evens out ;D
Thanks. Maybe I'm finally becoming tuned into the maternal side I never thought was there. This sort of thing would never have reduced me to tears before.
I've also been sobbing about the 3 month old and the 2 year old killed by their parents. I just can't fathom how anyone could treat an innocent child in this way. It's just evil.
oh bless ya velvetee!
Its awful isnt it, crying at the drop of a hat (though the horrible treatment of kids is always upsetting anyway) and i hate to tell you but after the baby arrives it doesnt get any better lol
