Been trying for a baby for a while now, i am a few days late for my period. I did 2 tests this morning and they both had faint positive lines. For some reason i'm not convinced i am actually pregnant as i have had period cramps for the last few days and i dont remember this with my son.
Can the tests be wrong or am i really pregnant? How will i know? Thanks

I think if you have faint lines then there is a good chance you are, most test now are very accurate. Give It a couple more days and do it again, or get the docs to do you one, that is free. Good luck
Any positive is a positive regardless of how faint it is! I am 15 weeks pregnant and did a test day after my period was due and I got the most faintest line. Like you I thought it cant be! But it was and have found out since it is very hard to get a false positive line. Just wait til next week and the line will be very dark! What one did you use? I used a tesco one but think first response can tell very early so may be darker. Good luck
Oh and sorry ask 99% of pregnant women about the cramps as they are completely normal - I had them til about 10 weeks (with my 1st, 2nd and 3rd), but I think you always forget how much they hurt. Its your bodies way of stretching and settling into the pregnancy so dont worry (they only say to worry if it comes with bleeding)

Thanks, i guess because i have wanted this for so long i cant actually believe that i am pregnant! I dont want to get really excited just in case i'm not. I used really cheap tests from Wilkinsons. I think i will go and see the doc asap.
Thanks so much
the doc will only have the same sort of tests as you have.

Give it a day and test again.. If you really are getting confused by the faint line then get a digital one which will give you a 'pregnant' result in words.

Oh and congratulations, sounds like its early days but youre pregnant :)
Congratulations! I also did not believe it that I was pregnant! Had been trying for a while and was convinced that my period was due - cramps etc. going to the loo every half an hour to check! I tested 1 day after my period was due and had a faint positive line. I then went out to buy one of those clearblue digital pregnancy tests. A little more expensive but worth it just to see the word 'pregnant'. I'm now 10 weeks and have my first midwife appointment tomorrow :-)
I've done 6 tests in total including one this week ... just to check that I'm still pregnant but I don't think I'll believe it until we have the scan. It sounds good for you though!
