What's FTM?

I never got reflux or heartburn until the much later stages.

I don't know what FTM means but my wife found rich tea biscuits and toast helped with the first pregnancy.

They didn't work second time round and only flat lemonade would do.

Every pregnancy was different for her and every woman is different.

I hope you can find something that helps you

If FTM means what I think it means I would seek advice from your dr.

I think I've cracked it

First time mother?

Oh, mumsnet speak ;)

FTM (First Timr Mom)

This from the NHS website.

//get plenty of rest (tiredness can make nausea worse)

avoid foods or smells that make you feel sick

eat something like dry toast or a plain biscuit before you get out of bed

eat small, frequent meals of plain foods that are high in carbohydrate and low in fat (such as bread, rice, crackers and pasta)

eat cold foods rather than hot ones if the smell of hot meals makes you feel sick

drink plenty of fluids, such as water (sipping them little and often may help prevent vomiting)

eat foods or drinks containing ginger – there's some evidence ginger may help reduce nausea and vomiting (check with your pharmacist before taking ginger supplements during pregnancy)

try acupressure – there's some evidence that putting pressure on your wrist, using a special band or bracelet on your forearm, may help relieve the symptoms//

Morning sickness is debilitating but I think most people just put up with it and hope it will end soon - which is usually does.

All the best to you and your new little person.  :o)

So I was right, speak to your primary care dr.

Not an issue I've ever experienced, but, heartburn eh ? I found fizzy drinks helped ease it. I used to drink lemonade, my brother says he used tonic water (I think), but whatever.

That that'd do to feelings of sickness is anyone's guess though.

I was sick with my first, it seemed from conception until they induced me. Ginger biscuits worked for me. With my second was literally blooming all the way, not a sick feeling or anything. Two pregnancies from same genes but so different.

Sea salt crackers for sure!
