Band C: £1033
Band D: £1162
Band E: £1420
Band F: £1678
Band G: £1937

"The average household bill for Welsh Water’s customers was £398 which is £4 lower than the previous year. Over the next five years, Welsh Water’s average household bill will fall by around £30 in real terms as a result of further improvements in both operational and financial efficiency"

These figures have me scratching my head.
I'm in Council Tax band D in England and my council tax is 50% more than the Welsh average for the same band. Perhaps councils in Wales get more financial support.
My water rates are DOUBLE the average band D figure for Wales. My water rates went up by more than 10% a year for around six consecutive years. i questioned the increase it every year and even wrote to my MP. All I got each time was a bland statement that on average water rates had only gone up by around 5% but actual increases per household varied according to the council tax band. I pressed futher but nobody would ever address my question of why band D was getting hit proportionally more for water charges year on year. In the end I gave up asking.
We will move to a water meter now as the young factors have recently left the nest so a meter will save money I'm sure. I'm not sure it will be as low as Buenchico pays though.
