It's not technically a period, but you can still bleed every month. It is not that common to do so though.

Its just i thought i ovulated this month, i have been on birth control for 7 years so i know something was not right. I went to my doctor and he told me to come off my pill (half way thru my pack) to see if i have my period. I did this and i came on, on monday and pretty much finished now. This one has been different tho, very light, on and off and when i think its starting to get heavy, it stops again. The reason i went to the doctor aswell was because i was getting symtoms! Any ideas what this could be??
If you've been on the pill for 7 year, it'll take some months for your body to get in a regular state.

That is my experience only

Thats what i thought! But i knew when i ovulated before i started taking the pill and havent experienced it for 7 years until now. Do u think pregnancy is a possibility?
This is going to sound rude, but it is not meant to be, it's just a question, how do you know you've ovulated whilts on the pill? If you are wanting to have a family, I do wish you all the best xx

Whats not meant to be??
me sounding rude xx
Question Author
Oh sorry, i didnt read that correctly lol! It does not sound rude. I dont know to be honest but i know something is not right. And thank you xx
I doubt you are pregnant simply because you were on the pill and you had a period. I know women do get pregnant on the pill and you can still bleed every month but this isn't the norm. The only way to find out for certain is to have a pregnancy test.
its very doubtful you are pregnant, if you are concerned buy a pregnancy test

This is what i thought aswell. But i swear i ovulated. The reason being aswell is that i know i havent had anything like this for 7 years. I know people that have fallen pregnant on the pill aswell as my mum and sister. I just dont know why i had such a weird period this time around. The doctor did say i should do a test if my period is not normal though.
I just hope all works out well for your you Lucy xx

MY dearest friend was on the jab thingy implant (you can tell how technical I am about that) and within 5 mins (exxagerration) fell pregnant.

If you wish and are Kucy, we are here for you. If you're not, well, we are still here for you xx
its funny I have never known anyone who has become pregnant whilst taking the pill, I have known women say that they have whilst secretly coming off the pill but never known one who has while actually taking the pill!
Question Author
Think it is best to do a test i think. I have decided aswell that I am not going back on the pill now so hopefully one day it will happen if it hasnt already :) Thank u everyone xx
did you take a pregnancy test as you thought you may be pregnant? The GP is less likely to do a test, and you can get them for as little as £2 in chemists

cazzz1975 - I know, its mad! I never knew untill my mum and sister told me that they fell pregnant when they were on the pill. My friend was on the pill and she is now 6months pregnant.
Even if you did ovulate, it doesn't mean you will be pregnant. good luck with the test x
Question Author
redcrx - I havent done one, no! When i went to see the doctor last week, he went to get one out for me to do but i told him there wasnt any point coz it would come back negative because at that time was too early.
just do a test then. That would be the first thing to do before all the questions.
Question Author
have got to wait until the 24th to do one
