HI, I currently have a Creative soundblaster 5.1 Live card (about 30 from pc world). If i up graded to the Audigy2 model from Creative, would i notice the difference in sound quality. I use 5.1 speakers. Also, would there be a slight boost in performance as i assume my CPU has less work to do? Thanks for your help on this. PM.

The Audigy system requirements are higher, which surely means there will be more strain on the CPU. I have the 5.1 Live! and I have no end of problems with it (lagging, skipping audio, conflicts), and especially getting working drivers off the creative site.

Unlikely to hear any improvement in sound 'quality' as the PC and 5.1 sound system can hardly be described as Hi-Fi. Plus your hearing would have to be perfect! Stick with what you've got. Buy a DVD emulating software package with the cash?
