To be honest he sounds a little young. if he were my son i would keep the activies coming, keep making them fun and let him enjoy his early years without any pressure. it comes to them soon enough with school and the like. also once he gets to school, if there is a potential there, i'm sure the school will spot it. he sounds like a bundle of fun and thats surely the best way to be!! Might be worth having a look at the sports centre at Lilleshal once he gets a little older?? Hope this helps.
I agree with katie - just turned 3 is far too young for this sort of thing. Have you thought of swimming lessons though? If he loves sport then he may well enjoy swimming (you can have swimming races!) and it is (I think) an essential skill.
Agree with above, most swimming pools will start lessons at 3 yrs. It's usually confidence building to start!

My son is 4 and will be starting swimming next June. He wants to do Karate like his cousin, but he has to be 6/7 years! My son is like yours, very active and is 100mph all of the day! Does your local sport centre have a soft play or jungle jim area?
Where I live we have a Fit Tots sesson twice a week run by the local council. It's a mix of play and sports for pre-schoolers.
I'd ask at your local council office/leisure centre if they know of anything similar.
