Hi blueaura,
I have been using Matrix sleek look smoothing system for a couple of years now. I have blonde hair and when it is dry, it shows even more.
Can only be bought at Hairdressing salons though but well worth it. Would never use anything else.
I have used Tony&Guy heat protection spray and it is really good and smells lovely. i've also been using Boots own heat protection spray and is also good but does not smell as nice as the Tony&Guy one.

Thanks, looks like its going to be expensive lol but I will just keep buying and see what suits best I have got quite dry and course hair as well I forgot to mention that..
Hi blueaura,I was once told by a hairdresser that you shouldn't use anything to protect your hair just before you straighten it. Apparently if you use spray ones right before you you use the irons it just burns your hair. He told me if i need to use something apply a small amount of smoothing creme when your hair is wet, then use some serum or wax on dry hair after starightening to smooth down any fly away bits! This is what i always do and i use my irons twice a day sometimes and my hair in pretty good condition!x Hope this helps you.x
I use VO5 Sleek and shine, its a little tube and you need so little its great, lasts for ages!
I also use the Tigi -bedhead one called Heat defence, you can buy it in T&G and comes ina purple bottle, again you need very little.
another good range is bedhead poker straight, its a green range, quite prices but smells fab and leaves your hair looking POKER Striaght!!!
Re read your last comment, go for the Vo5. My hair is thick and dry and this has worked wonders!

Thanks for all your input xxx
I just ran out of my GHD Oil, which was given to me as a present! I thought i would save some money and try tresseme heat defence spray, in the pump bottle, recently advertised. I think i will save up for the GHD oil it was brilliant, a bit pricey, but worth it! Don't think you can save money in this area! But i agree with the other comment, you need a product that is sprayed on while your hair is damp, then dry your hair, then straighten! x
