well a mate of mine had normal birth for 1st child and chose to have a cs for her 2nd and the hospital done it,,and she was having no probs at all,
I had a horrendous 3 days with my first labour, which ended in a venteuse delivery and a leakage of my spinal fluid (mistake with epidural) meaning I couldn't lift my head an inch from the pillow without excrutiating pain, that was another 3 days. With my 2nd it was an absolute dream, no pain relief, just kept walking about, went to hospital at 12 born at 3. So once your birth canal has been used it might be totally different. Good Luck
My sister has 1 child and is expecting with twins, they are due the end of october, she took ages pushing her 1st child out and didnt want to go through the same again so she asked for a c section and she's getting one. Hope this helps.
A second birth (if it's not too long after the first birth - eg if your eldest child is 10 or 11) is generally much easier than the first birth. I was in labour for ten hours with my first child, with my second it was two!
My mother had a horrendous long labour with me, but when she had my sister 10 years later it was quick & easy!

My first was also horrible..baby got stuck, sustained a broken arm & I had to have 6 pints of blood transfused. My second was a breeze. A mate of mine had to have an emergency section for her first, but the second arrived naturally in record time in the ambulance :o)

It usually follows that a subsequent birth is easier, but you can discuss any concerns with your midwife ~ maybe a 'trial of labour' will be suggested, as a VB is still preferable to a CS in the great big scheme of things.

Don't believe spudqueen. I know its usual for the second birth to be easier but mine wasn't.My first was a difficult 16 hours and my second was 30., and even harder.
ive had two sections honey, wouldnt have it any other way... some hospitals say the max is 3 but i know a lady who's had more than that!
