seriously though...have you sat down and discussed this with him? I'm not entirely sure in what context you mean either. Do you mean spitting at you? Or in the house? Or is it that revolting 'teen' thing they all seem to do, spitting on the pavements when out and about?
I,ve sat him down and talked to him about it , i've shouted at him , i've embarresed him, i've made him clean it up, he still does it.
Decapitation, good idea.
Ahhhh, the 'adorable' teen phase, dontcha just love it?
Well at 12 he should have the nous to stop doing this whilst out and about with you, manners etc etc etc, but there's nothing you can do about him doing it when he's out with his friends.
Having tried the reasonable approach, you couold do one of two things -
drastic - spit as well, everytime he does it, you do it, see what his reaction is then!
more reasonable - simply ignore it. This is simple attention-seeking behaviour, so take the attention away. If he knows it upsets you, he gets the attention he wants, so remove it, but be full of praise when he goes for a while without doing it.
andy excellent idea if you can't beat them join them. He doesn't seem to notice that he is doing it its become more of a habbit anyway i'll see if i have the nerve to spit when i'm with him, but knowing my luck i'll be seen by a copper and fined or somthing. wish me luck and thanks for the idea
