I used to work with a child who was statemented too, funding was never stopped, but it was increased and so too were my hours of working with the child, this happened immediately, it might work the same way in reverse. It was in my contract that my employment would stop if funding was withdrawn. Hope I am wrong for your's and the child's sake - good luck.

Most one-to-one contracts with statemented children state that they will cease should funding stop or the child leave that place of education. It is therefore up to your Head to decide when to relieve you. It may be that they have had funding for this term in which case you should have time to sort something out. Get in touch with your Head or the union if you are unsure what is going to happen.

Good Luck!

The school will be notified that the funding will cease and then a new statement will have to be issued, once the new statement is issued (which could take several months) the funding will cease.
