I am assuming you are talking about the child being cared for in their own home and now going to say a nursery?

You will be amazed at how easy the child will adapt i.e. within the first 5 minute of being around other children and being greeted by big smiling faces and loads of toys and activities.

I have been in a similar postion with my daughter and she just walked over to the other children and started playing before coming back and telling me to go!!!!  Talk about being gutted!

Key tip is not to make a big fuss about it - if it makes you feel better try a couple of hours at a time for a few days but dont be surprised if you have to take the child away screaming and shouting they want to stay there!

Good Luck
