My husband rang again last Friday and asked to speak to the Manager - as usual she was unavailable. He left a message to ask her to contact him by 4 o'clock and so when she didn't he rang back and asked the girl to tell the manager that he was giving notice of intention.... well that moved her! She rang after about 10 minutes and said that Tesco were re-issuing the cheque!!!??? which implies that the 1st one got lost. Guess what, this morning we have received a money card with £50 on it as an apology for the length of time this matter has taken. Very nice, but she says "as discussed in our telephone call" - IT WASN'T. They really are a total shambles (as Lord Sugar says). We will now wait to see if the cheque arrives within the (new) 14-28 days . We're not holding our breath! I'll be back to tell you what happens.
