Mini Boo sprang on me this morning that she needs to make an Easter Bonnet for school tomorrow, which will be worn during assembly- which was nice of her...

Anyhoo, in a blind panic I legged it to Tesco hoping to buy a straw hat type of thing and easter decorations. Wouldn't you know it? No bonnets, hats or even summer hats which I looked for in desperation. I can't go anywhere else at this short notice, infact there is nowhere else to go near me anyway.

I grabbed this lot...

Was thinking maybe make some sort of hat out of these? Think it could be done? And more importantly...how?

Help me!!

Surpised really Pix that Tesco didn't have any straw bonnets, they had everything else! Typical eh?

im reading that link that Mark gave (Once again, thanks Mark) and im also leaning towards gluing the stuff, along with a pair of rabbit ears to a headband.

Throw that stuff away............get her to wear the coverlet-thingy (you've got the stuff displayed on) as a burka and say that she doesn't believe in Easter.

Problem solved...........:o)

and haha @ Octopus, hat's ace! He sohuld be pleaded, id have just said "tough" as I dragged him to school fancy dress less ;-)
Attach ribbon to green basket so that it can be tied under chin. Get or shred some green tissue/crepe paper and fill basket. Cut out big Easter bunny and stick him to the back of the basket. Draw and cut out some chicks (google Easter chicks to color) (I know I've spelt colour the american way, they have better sites) and stick them around the inside edge of basket. Stick a couple of washed broken eggs shells or a couple of Creme eggs onto shredded paper in front on Bunny.

got a cheapo shop in town Triggs, and i'll be able to get.....?

Oi Jack ,that's my best sofa throw! or in other words "keep the dog hairs off the sofa" cover.
Could she not wear it and claim to be a Wookie, instead ? :o)

Good idea Mercia, was thinking of using the basket upside down, to make the actual hat bit, didn't think of putting it the right way and filling the damn thing! Can you now see why i need help? I'm buggerall imagination!
Question Author
actually don't need to find and print chicks Mercia, i can just cut out those on the paper plates.
Boo is there a Hobbyshop or craft shop near?
Question Author

Mercia's suggestion is Eggsellent (sorry couln't resist); but it is - a bonnet of easter nest. I bet you can even get some little fluffy chicks in one of the £ shops or a newsagent.
