I know this is a bit ramdom but, do you class leggings as trousers or underwear? I say trousers, 18 year old daughter says underwear. Also how do you keep them up, I have just started wearing them ( I still remember them from the first time round in the 80's) they are so comfy but I spend all day hauling them up, it's not a good look. They are the right size, so its not that they are too big. I am considering braces.

Unless you're super skinny, i wouldn't wear them at all- hideous things unless you've legs up to your armpits.
There are lots of girls (and, frankly ... women), who wear them around the town with nothing on top ... so I hope they'd be classed as trousers.
remember the early 90's combo leggings worn with bodies

(((shudder)))
I think they look ok if you're wearing a long top/tunic...
thats leggings with stirrups btw
Well I guess they put off stalkers....
I used to wear those cazzzzzzzz.....
They look wrong on anyone unless worn with a tunic that comes to mid thigh, it doesn't matter how slim you are you will still look like you just can't be bothered with your appearance if you wear them.
I wear them sometimes with a long tunic top, the ones I have are very good they never fall down at all, lots of lycra I suppose! and have stirrups to keep them down under your foot!.....wouldn't class them as underwear, lots of people wear them with a tunic top and boots..................
I haven't worn leggings for years. I would say they are trousers.
Ooh, ski pants - there was nothing more attractive than wearing them with boots and one of the stirrups pinging loose to give you that 'masonic' look ;)
I think it rather depends if your butt "hangs" or "jutts"

If you're a "jutter" you can carry it off ... you just look hot.

If you're a "hanger" ... you look like a ***.

But, hang on ... Jeggings are definitely trousers, yes ?
I always wore them with big baggy tops though.
"masonic" look ... LOL
They went well with Pixie Boots.

Uggs are just not the same.
Is Pixie Boots showing my age ??
I have very long legs and am wearing leggings again at the ripe old age of 63. I am wearing them with jersey tunics that are just above the knee and they look fine. Marks and Spencer leggings are great on me they don't wrinkle or fall down. I don't class them as underwear or trousers really just leggings. I haven't got a great figure and am certainly not super skinny these days but I still have fairly good legs. And shapeless tunics are just great because they hide my midriff bulgy bits.

I wouldn't wear them to go shopping or out in town, but would wear them with a nice dressy tunic top in the evening or with casual tunics around the house. So much more comfortable than my denim jeans!!
Now I have ruined BOO's impression of me as a classical older lady in twinset and pearls!!
I remember pixie boots JJ, only just though!...........lol............I wear mine with knee high leather boots, don't like to see them with Uggs either!.........
Lol JJ, I used to have a pair of cherise pink pixie boots. I was never out of them and got told off for wearing them to school.
