So I'm thinking of stopping cutting, I used to swim competetively and I might start again. Could this possibly help me stop thinking about cutting? Please don't say anything bad, I'm trying to stop :)

Cutting is pretty much cutting yourself to get rid of emotional pain, and its pretty much only temporary, but it leaves you with scars. Pretty much just like getting a cut, but doing it on purpose

yes
If you are self-harming you really need to go to your GP to get some help. The reasons why people do this are complicated and your doctor may refer you to a psychologist to help you deal with the 'why' aspect.

Your GP is a good starting point.
It might temporarily take your mind off it but it's not dealing with the root cause. You need to see a psychiatrist...
GP = Doctor btw.
Yeah - Obviously your doctor should be your first port of call.
you must see a mental health professional for practical and emotional support in dealing with your self-harm - referred through your gp. swimming may be a positive influence as exercise is good for mental health and well-being and there is also the added factor of having to have arms etc. on display so may help as a further deterrent for cosmetic reasons also. in order to minimise scarring, i recommend using bio-oil and prompt, clean wound care in order to maintain skin integrity. good luck with things and i hope you do find the motivation to change this part of your life x
im going through a hard time myself and i tell you what talk about it and try get help it will do you the world of good x same as wolf speak to your gp
Are your parents aware of your self-harming?

No they don't know
Tell/show them and ask them to help you ... after all, you're only 14.
You have to talk to someone before it escalates. You don't need your parents with you to visit the doctor.
ummmy, it might well be a PAYG health service.
