I'm cooking lasagne. I made my own pesto and my own bechamel sauce, so it's a completely non-cheating creation.

What about you?

Actually, Sqad... I'll email you later and explain things a bit better.
going to the local for a carvery....
I have some pieces of beef that i have brined and have been marinading all night, Some half cooked roast potatoes, and will be chopping a cabbage and making gravy for later, I also have some pumpkin which i have to cook today as its slightly soft on one of the corners and will spoil soon, does anyone have any ideas what i can do with the pumpkin?
in my head i'm having roast rib of beef, yorkies, roast spuds, parsnips & baby onions, cabbage, cauli cheese, broccoli, peas, carrots, brussel sprouts and gravy so thick it makes paris hilton look intelligent.

reality, probably toast as i can;t be bothered to shop or cook :-) i'm currently eating a green and blacks choc mint fondant as the only effort is opening the packet :-)

Carvery sounds grand, Stokey. I used to go to Monroes in Benitatxell for mine.

Roast the pumpkin and make into a soup with plenty of cumin and some fresh coriander.
Scallop and vegetable stir fried rice with a big juicy Tuna steak on the side...
Toast for dinner? Good grief! If your a man then haven't you got a woman cooking for you, and if your a woman, shouldn't you be in the kitchen cooking for your man?
Nothing planned today. We've been cleaning out my storage unit. Didn't realise how much stuff I had. I found bags of clothes hardly worn and some still with the labels on. Because it's been in there so long they won't fit the boys now...what a wate.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes thicker gravy. Thin gravy should be banned !
Nomercy, that sounds like a great idea for a cold wintery evening, but at the mo im having a roast so i need to do an oven based recipe, what's the cooking times for pumpkins, roughly the same as cabbage or potatoes?
Question Author
Snags, that does sound yummy. Have you tried scallops wrapped in bacon?

Ummmm... I've been looking down in my nan's cellar where I store quite a lot of clothes, and was amazed to see the number of dresses with the labels still on. I dread to add the prices up. :-(
Question Author
Then just roast it and mash it. I personally would incorporate some mashed potato into it too, as pumpkin alone could be quite watery when mashed.
most def, thin gravy is wrong!!!

swampthing, single female and toast is ab fine by me, i did get some mince out and i was going to make meatballs but i really can't be bothered, i'm having a lazy day!
Ill be having some extra thick gravy, I can't imagine cabbage without gravy.
