smoking infront of children

I find it absolutly shocking that i still see adults smoking infront of there children when there in the same room as them, we all know how stupid this is, so whu do people still do it? Not only is it bad for your health but it also stinks, i thinks theres nothing worse than a child inhaling stinking of smoke.
my son was invited to a birthday party up his best friends house and his mother answered the door with a fag in her gob, she invited me into the kitchen where there were several more people smoking in there, there was even a baby in her high chair amonst all this! Not only this but the house was filthy and absolutley stank of damp dog and stale smoke, least to say i did not want my kids in there and made an excuse to go saying the baby has got the runs and i dint want her to pass it on to anyone.
I feel so bad for his friend, he and my boy are so close and i hated having to take him away from his party but felt i had no choice, not only that but if my partner had seen that he wouldve gone nuts, theres no way he would allow the kids to be there when its like that. RANT OVER LOL

couldnt agree with you more cazz, its such a shame when little kids end up stinking of the stuff, afterall they dont cjoose too do they?
My mother and father were smokers when we were growing up as kids and i HATED it with a passion but back then i suppose people didnt really know the dangers of smoking infront of young kids. They wouldnt dream of smoking infront of the grandchildren now, well my mother wouldnt, my dad gave up after his heart attack 2 years ago!

Watching my wonderful father-in-law die from lung cancer at the young age of 54, after smoking 40/60 Senior Service a day......I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I would rather be boring and self righteous than smell of cigarettes, and inflict nuisance and health problems on my friends and family. Smokers who smoke amongst non smokers are just plain selfish.
