I would say get her registered the earlier the better, my kids went from the age of about 8 weeks, but that's because I took them a long with me when I was going, I think they do recommend going from the minute their teeth appear for advice and prevention of decay information.

I am glad to say, because they were so familiar with the dentist they have always been happy to sit in the chair and have their teeth checked. They are coming up for 9 and 8 now, and luckily they have never needed any treatment yet.
call your local pct PALS servie and they will find you one. On our pct website there is a list of dentists who are taking on nhs pts
not that i`m an expert but not before they have got teeth!
Actually breeze - suprisingly they are happy to see babies before they have teeth, so that they can stop parents getting into bad habits. The delicate baby teeth can be damaged even before they appear through the gum.
Annie, I stand corrected, THANKYOU X
Not at all brize - sorry for mis spelling you earlier. it is surprising - it is only because I was going myself that I took along my two - I was breastfeeding at the time, so we always came as a package! and the dentist said that they like to get them in the habit early. Given Scotland's appaling dental record I think they are glad to be able to catch any potential problems early. I have seen babies with irn bru in their bottles and it is still common to stick a bit of jam on a babies dummy to keep them happy. Some kids have teeth that come through already rotten and have to be removed.
